The Jedi Training...SO COOL!!

All right, for those who haven't been to Disneyland in the last little while, they have the COOLEST Jedi Training show! (Apparently this took the place of the Buzz Lightyear show.) So a Jedi Master comes out and chooses 20ish kids from the audience that are strong in the Force.

Jackson wasn't picked his first time, but the next time he was the first kid picked. (As it turned out, it was probably good that he had seen the show before and knew what was going to happen. One kid ran crying to his mom when the show got scary.) They run through a series of drills: activating their light sabers, right shoulder slice, left shoulder slice, slice the legs, duck and avoid, etc. Just very cool.

Then some storm troopers come running in and the music gets scary. Taryn was terrified when Darth Vader and Darth Maul appear and try to convince the young Jedis in training to come and complete their training with them. Needless to say, they don't do it.

Then each of the trainees gets the chance to battle either Darth Vader or Darth Maul using the skills they had worked on. Jackson did a great job battling Darth Vader and the Jedi Master was impressed by his one-handed use of the light saber. It was just so cool!!

Finally, all the young padouins activate their light sabers together and the Darths realize that they aren't going to switch sides. We heard Yoda's voice proclaiming the strength of the force and the bad guys leave.

Then the kids get diplomas and they basically have been trained and designated Jedis by the planet Earth. Can I tell you again that it was very cool? Not only did I get great still shots, but Dennis taped the whole thing and Jackson is very anxious to show it to his friend Ethan who loves Star Wars. As I watched Jackson up there it really hit me for the first time that he is a boy now and not just a little toddler. My baby's growing up...
