On Friday we finally, officially, sold our house in Eugene. Though we are incredibly relieved to be done with the whole thing, it's very sad. We loved our little house and it was very good to us. And we sold our nice house to a
JERK. I know, in this kind of market you can't complain, but it just seems sad to me. On a brighter note, we are enjoying our house in Spokane and had our first dinner party yesterday. We had signed up to feed the missionaries, but they never called to confirm or to get our address so we invited a family in the ward over. They showed up as did the missionaries at the appointed hour. I have to say, the elders got their just rewards for not confirming. It was complete CHAOS! There were 5 kids under the age of 5 and for some reason all three of the little girls had meltdowns all night! We literally spent 20 minutes trying to tell a 2 minute story but were
interrupted so many times with screaming and tears. It was so ridiculous that all we could do was laugh!

Happy and Sad in one feeling is hard. But I'm glad you're finally done with the whole process, that must be a relief! I can totally relate to you on that missionary thing - I signed up to feed my missionaries as well, and they didn't confirm and so I invited 5 guys from my ward over, and who shows up at the hour? The Missionaries! Thankfully, I had enough food to cover 7 boys stomachs!
I can't wait to be in your shoes, with everything behind me. We are approaching: the SOLD signs were added to our post overnight. The man came to give the estimate for fixing our furnace, and several things are still under warranty. One thing absolutely MIFFED me: they said our furnace filters were too clean to have been in use for 3 years. DUMB! We clean them every 3-4 months, and knowing the inspector would be coming, we had sprayed Simply Green, hosed them off, and after time to dry, replaced them into the space above the furnace. He questioned whether the filter system was working. You just can't win!!
Love, Mom
Oh yes, congratulations on owning only ONE home. It must be a good feeling. Mom
You really should post a picture of your Eugene home next to your Spokane home...both great homes I am sure, but your current home is pretty awesome.
Congrats on selling the house!
